If you cannot get visitors to click on a link, fill out a form, call your number, sign up to your newsletter, or make a purchase, then your website is not working. If your conversion rates are low, you are not going to make money.

Luckily, the majority of the websites out there are bad at conversions. This gives you the opportunity to succeed. You find success where others have failed.

It is estimated that the average website has a conversion rate of less than 1 percent. You cannot hope to make a living with conversion rates this low.

In order to help you understand how this works, imagine that your website received 1000 visitors last month. These 1000 visits are your overall traffic — not just traffic to your home page or a specific landing page.
