These Very Times

A passage

We are dragged into a washing machine,
A spin-dryer, to be ready to heighten
Our plane of consciousness.
Before emerging in the light,
We have to get rid of the weight
Of the past that pulls us back,
And open our eyes
To the collective lies
That are holding us back.

Don’t you see the light
Flowing quietly to us
From the near future?
